Losing Belly Fat 5 Simple Exercises
Do you wish that you could be losing belly fat in a very simple way? Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a magic exercise that would get rid of all of your belly flab?
Unfortunately, there is no magic bullet, but there are exercises that can help with losing belly fat. Remember that like any other muscle, the abdominal muscles need time to rest. This helps them to grow. You should therefore only perform ab work 3 or 4 days a week, giving a day’s rest in between.
These 5 exercises can help you lose stomach fat:
1. Cardio
All the crunches in the world won’t help you get a flat stomach if you have a layer of fat around it. The best way to slim down your belly is get rid of extra fat — and the way to do that is through cardio exercise. Jogging can often give you the most bang for your buck, but you may also want to look into high intensity interval training, which is alternating bursts of exercise with recovery periods.
2. Standing side crunches
To whittle your middle, you’ll want to focus on the obliques. These are the muscles on the side of your stomach. To do standing side crunches, stand tall with your right hand straight up in the air. Pull your arm down and bring your right knee up at the same time, trying to touch your elbow to your knee. After 16 repetitions, switch sides. This is great for people that have problems lying on their backs.
3. Bicycle
The bicycle move also works your obliques. To do them, lie on your back with your hands behind your head. Extend your right leg and bring your left knee up and try to touch it with your right elbow. Then bring the right knee up to touch your left elbow. Do several repetitions.
4. Double crunch
A double crunch works both your upper and lower abs at the same time, so you get more bang for your buck. Start on your back with your hands behind your head and your knees bent. At the same time, lift your chest off the floor and bring your knees up, crunching your body into a small ball.
5. Pilates
Pilates is an excellent type of exercise for losing belly fat. It’s a series of small movements that work your core. The best thing about it is that you can get a full workout in around 10 minutes.
Whichever type of exercise you decide to do, make sure you stick with it if you want to have the best results. Losing belly fat is simple, but it does require you to be consistent.
